I bought Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition in May 2020. After Beat Saber, this is probably the game I play the most. Although Just Dance 2024 is also now vying for that slot.
My dad had been a boxer some decades before I was born and taught me and my sister boxing techniques while were growing up. I’m not much of a fan of watching boxing, but boxing in VR is very cathartic and definitely helps me return to a more zen state of mind and attitude to life. The fact that no one gets hurt is also a huge bonus.
When you play in career mode, Sylvester Stallone is your coach, and he takes you through a series of exercises and training sessions.
CREED: Rise to Glory™ puts you in the gloves of underdog Adonis Creed and challenges you to rise through the ranks to become a champion to be reckoned with. Train with the legendary Rocky Balboa, feel yourself become stronger, and go toe-to-toe with opponents under the spotlights of packed championship rings.
The game has seen a lot of updates since 2020. I mostly play freeplay mode but have played endurance mode, and I can assure anyone, 12 rounds of fighting requires quite a bit of stamina. I’m sure I have that captured in video somewhere. I consider VR Fitness to be one of life’s blessings. If you are triggered by this type of violence, this game is probably not for you.
Here I am using a Meta Quest 3 to play but have also used a Quest, Quest 2, and Quest Pro.
(The video includes moments of passthrough showing flashes of the room I was playing in. )
